Crown & Crop did not start as a business. It started as a homestead.
We were already growing. Already raising. Already loading up the truck and driving our own goods to market, to neighbors, to whoever needed what we had. At some point the neighbors started asking if we could take their stuff too. Then their friends asked. Then those friends had farms of their own and no good way to move what they grew without handing it over to a shipping carrier that had never touched a live animal or a flat of eggs in its life.
That is where UPS ends and we begin.
We watched too many farmers eat losses because a carrier held a perishable order two days too long. We saw live shipments arrive wrong. We heard the same story over and over from growers who just wanted to do business with the farm down the road without having to go through a distributor that took half and cared about none of it. There had to be a better way. We were already in the truck. We already knew the roads. We already understood what fragile meant on a farm versus what it meant in a warehouse.
So Crown & Crop became a real thing.
We are not a courier company that happens to move farm goods. We are farmers who happen to run deliveries. That difference matters when your cargo is alive, or bruises easy, or needs to be somewhere before noon. We built this for the people who get up before the sun and do not stop until the work is done. The ones who do not have time to chase down a lost package or argue with a 1-800 number about a damaged crate.
This is still a family operation. Every run we take, we take seriously. Because we know what it costs when a delivery goes wrong. We have been on that side of it too. When our power of choice is untrammelled and when nothing prevents us from being able to do what we like best, every pleasure is to be welcomed and every pain avoided.
